Seaside, OR

I'm way behind... Here is our Memorial Day weekend trip. Callin and I headed with my Momma to Oregon to visit Grandma and Grandpa Medonich. We decided to ditch the old people and took off for the coast.

Aren't we so fun and flirty?

Our room with an "ocean view". Cause that's how we roll

Don't be fooled by the fancy sign, this was less thrilling than a pet store. Depressing really, I mean, look at him...

This was the least creepy thing there
It was a fun little trip. Oregon is so beautiful. A little rainy as we drove there, but I made Callin listen to Twlight on cd so I felt like we were on our way to Forks to visit Edward. I watched for him in the trees, but he must have lost my scent cause I never saw him. Maybe next year

Untitled for lack of creativity

This is Huck. Huck got baptized this last Saturday. Callin and I got to know him as we went with the Sister missionaries to teach him the lessons. I love and have missed seeing the Gospel light change someone as they learn and apply truth. It was a pleasure being a part of his conversion. He's 15 and already planning for his mission. So cute, I just love this kid...

The rest of Saturday Callin played in the dirt... he said he was doing important stuff, but I'm pretty sure he creates projects so he can buy tools.
On a totally unrelated note, Callin bought me these roses for Mother's Day and I though this picture was awesome. I can't wait until I have a legitimate Mother's Day, I had to mother him for days to earn these.

Popcorn please

My favorite people at the movie theater, not really in order:

1. The women who dress up super fancy. They are usually bedazzled in floods and square heeled shoes.

2. The third wheel dude. He plays it cool without a date, but you know that he wants Jesse's girl.

3. The high school group consisting of 1 girl and 3-5 boys. They all pretend not to want her and she pretends not to know.

4. The couples who come 5 minutes before the movie starts and are so put out that there aren't 2 open seats. They scan the audience with their dirty looks and walk out. I have no sympathy.

5. People who are too smart for movies. Leave your camera technique, movie accuracy or acting skill comments at home. Let me enjoy the movie in peace and quiet.

To end, let me suggest to the powers that be- old people who are loud talkers, should have their own theater.

K, bye.

Who wants a nickel?

I recently received the below letter in the mail. If you can't read it, it's from the leukemia & lymphoma society. They sent me a nickel and said "How can 5 cents save a child's life?" I'm totally ok with with charities asking for money, however, don't send me a nickel and then proceed to tell me how even a nickel donation can help a child. If it's so vital to get 5 cents, DON'T SEND IT TO ME!!!

I also saw a man today standing at a light at the end of a freeway exit with a sign that said "broke and hungry." I didn't have a problem with him, until I saw the dog he had leashed to his backpack sitting a few feet from him. If you're having to beg for $ to feed yourself, don't drag a helpless puppy into it. I'm sure he was hoping for extra sympathy points with the pup, but I ended up annoyed.

Maybe I should have given him the nickel?

Baby Hungry

It's true, my biological clock is screaming baby. Until it gets loud enough for Callin to hear, I had to settle for this precious pair. Bruno and Clyde are zebra finches that we saved from the saddest little pet store in the world. I'm considering a call to PETA. But they are home now and they love their mama.

A little less Cougar

Callin had a birthday, it helped me feel less like the cradle robber that I am. Now, compared to Dode, I am slightly aged instead of ancient.

Did I tell you I married the Count of Monte Cristo or Zohan, depending on the shirt...

I fulfilled his dreams of going to Trafalga, I was happy with my choice of cardigan

He said I won, but I cheated almost every hole

Last but not least, I made him a yummy meatloaf dinner and Courtney and Ty even got him his favorite, lemon meringue pie. I'm just hoping he gets one year wiser now.
