Pregnancy Peeves

Ok- not that I really have much to complain about... I've had it pretty good. No sickness, no weird food things and I haven't gained a ton of weight. But I've got hormones going off the charts so I've still found something to complain about.

I've heard the following way too often lately... "When are you going to start looking pregnant?" or "You don't even look pregnant!"

REALLY? Cause this is normal? Because I looked 6 months pregnant before I was even pregnant so you can't tell the difference?

Also, if you'd like to talk about how awesome my Halloween costume was this year, you can.

Crazy Stupid Update

So- it's been a while- I know. And of all the things happening in my life right now- this is what inspires me to blog...

Ok- so this was a little treat that I wasn't expecting when Callin and I went to see Crazy Stupid Love. Which was hilarious and had a cute story. And besides the entertainment provided by those abs we were surrounded by entertaining people. To my right- a Chatty Cathy couple who talked the entire movie. Literally. Naturally I would have been annoyed, but since they were speaking in a language that I didn't recognize, I forgave and didn't feel bad eavesdropping.

To my left, past my dear husband, were two, terribly prudish, assumingly single girls about my age. Ryan revealed those abs and we heard gasps as they covered their eyes- ummm, really? EVERY funny, dirty joke was followed by "Nooooooo, oooohhhhh myyyyy- INappropriate!" Ladies, this is a Steve Carell movie- WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?!?!?! I wish I could say that I was kidding or exaggerating about the excess No's and gasps but I'm not. It was like a hum coming from a few seats down. It became so out of control that I started copying them and hopefully said it loud enough for them to hear. People like that should know how ridiculous they are, right?

Also, remember how I'm pregnant? Yeah, super excited. I've been collecting things here and there. I left a tiny pair of shoes on the floor because I'm obviously too pregnant to pick up after myself- and when I came across it later, it made me so happy to see tiny, cute baby things around the house- as if little Leo were here already. Can I just tell you that having a baby is one of THE BEST excuses to shop? So great and guilt free. I need new clothes, babe needs new clothes, plus I have a whole room to redecorate! Heaven. Had I realized all of this, I would have tricked Callin a lot earlier. I love this little kiddo already.

Let's make it blog official...

This is a green card- Callin's green card to be exact...

If this is a shock to you- that means you got punked!

That was the most successful April Fool's Day joke of all time for me... I'll only apologize to my Grandma Nich- because I love her the most. By the way Gram, I got your card, thank you, it was very sweet. I love you.

No wonder there are so many illegal immigrants...

This is ridiculous. I'm so mad, I don't know whether to cry or scream. But I'll probably do both. This country is a joke. Callin and I started the paperwork to get his green card back in March of last year. After spending weeks trying to get the stupid things filled out and $1500 later... we sent it all in. 6 months later we get a letter stating they received our paperwork and that they were processing it. 4 months after that we're called in for an interview- picture the scenes from the movie "The Proposal" it's horribly accurate. Callin was so nervous he forgot how old he was. 4 months later they've decided there are too many discrepancies in our paperwork, that our marriage is a sham and that Callin must return to Canada under supervision! We had 20 minutes to pack his bags and figure out a way to contact the school to let them know what happened with finals just weeks away. They put him in the back of a cop car to go to the airport like some common criminal. I'm so out of here. I'm so deeply offended that I don't think I will be able to step back onto American soil again for a long time. Luckily my job is great and they'll let me work from home- in Canada. My father in law is fantastic and already has an immigration attorney lined up and I'll meet with him this afternoon to review our case. But I don't even know if I want to come back. We probably wouldn't consider it if it wasn't for school- we really don't want to lose all of those credits. I'm just so, so upset. These things shouldn't happen to good, tax paying citizens.

The Legend

I hope you're watching American Idol, or we really shouldn't be friends. I love this season. J. Lo is hot and Steven is crazy, it's just too good. I am a little TOO into it this season because of Mr. John Wayne Schulz... or as I used to call him, Elder Schulzy. Yep, he's a NOMer. Get it? Nebraska Omaha Mission. We were mid-westerners and we were clever.

Here is proof that we are friends...

How long is my hair?
Did you know Sister missionaries were so stylish? I mean, who can rock a green turtleneck like that?
I have a husband approved crush on you Elder John Wayne and I will vote you to the top!

Alright already...

Forgive me friends, for I have sinned. It has been 5 months and 2 weeks since my last blog post. However, I'm willing to bet you didn't miss me that much. But just in case you're dying of curiosity, here is a brief summary of our life since that post. Which means I just went through the pics on my phone and pulled out a few...

A trip with my fam to our favorite spot, Lava Hot Springs.

(Chase in the white shorts diving, KC in the black shorts was doing something fancy)
A Dave Matthews Band concert. Love.

A few projects around the house...

(That chandelier was $5 and used to be white, fabric turned art)

A trip to Mexico- which I will fully blog about later...

I turned 26 which is slightly less depressing since my sis turned 25... if I have to get wrinkles, I won't be alone.

In between all that was lots of work work work for me and school for Callin.

Seems kind of sad that I don't really have more to talk about. Now you know why I didn't bother to blog.
Oh well, 2011 seems to be full of excitement. You'll see...
